Most of the chestnut trees are propagated by means of a layered mound, and we breed hybrid varieties that are resistant to phytophtora, such as Marigoule (CA 15, M15) or Bouche de Bétizac.
Every year these mother-plants produce young shoots that we weave during May, and then we stubble with soil all season long, the plants thus produced are then taken during the following winter.
